What does it take?

It’s a bit like teaching old dog’s new tricks … it takes more time and more patience than you could think was possible! I have been plowing through multiple unfamiliar websites in this new and bewildering endeavor to just get my stories out to the reading public. It’s at times frustrating, as I make the wrong moves time after time and have to go back and correct myself. It’s at times exciting as I complete something and move on to “the next phase.” I keep finding out that there are more steps in the process of bringing a book to the start line than I has realized … for example, now I am working on applying for sales tax paperwork just so I can sell my books directly at book fairs and special events. I am still not sure I want to delve into this murky pile of paperwork, but cannot see any other way to do this, so I go forth and try something, anything, much like Raven trying to figure out how to fight velociraptors! Hey, if she can do it, I can do it … and I don’t even have to worry about being eaten if I get it wrong. How hard can it be anyways? (Hmm … let’s not jinx myself just yet!) But wish me luck. I’m gonna need it (or, just a tech savvy teen to save my sad derriere from myself!)
